Hey hey hey!
I’m finally back and online. Now I feel totally connected to the outside world. These few days without my computer, I felt disconnected, not linked to anyone besides the people in my corridor. Talking about link, I saw a shop today named The Link. It was a mobile phone shop selling phones and sim cards.
Oh oh, well since now I have all the time in the world to say everything I want here, I can tell all of you everything I’ve experienced so far.
Number 1, the people here are nice. Very very nice. Compared to Malaysia people here will actually help people that they don’t even know. They will break out a sweat just to help you get what you want. In Malaysia, people don’t even care. If you’re lost, they offer their help. In Malaysia, you’re lost, that’s your problem. Here they hold the doors open for you when you’re approaching the door. In Malaysia, they just let the door slam into the person’s face behind them. Even if you do hold a door open for the person behind, not even a single thank you from the person. Over here, they thank you for everything. They hold doors for you even if you’re very far away.
Next is drivers. People here drive with courtesy. If they see you wanting to cross the road, they’ll stop for you to cross. Even if the traffic light shows green, they still stop for you to cross. Plus when the traffic lights turn yellow, they actually slow down and not speed up unlike Malaysia where everyone doesn’t want to wait for another round at the traffic lights. Another thing about cars, cars here are all small. I hardly see a BMW anywhere and since I got here, I only saw one Mercedes Benz. All the cars here are mostly 2 door hatchbacks. Of course mostly European makes but there’re many Toyotas and Hondas too. Hardly and Mitsubishis, Nissans or even Protons! Haha.
About pictures, I didn’t even have anytime to take and pictures. I have been running around the place so much that I forgot to take any pictures of interesting buildings or places. Don’t worry, sooner or later when I get settled in, pictures will come.
Tomorrow, I’ll be going down to the shopping areas so do some shopping for essentials. Oh I also just got my temporary mobile phone number. I got an O2 number. If you want to find out, I’ll email me and I’ll give it to you provided that I know you. LOL.
Anyway, it’s getting late. I’m still adjusting to the jet lag. If I were in Malaysia, it would be 4am right now. So it’s awfully late. But I’m slowly adjusting to the time. I can slowly sleep later and later. But the worse thing is I wake up every morning at 5am. I wake up even before my alarm sounds. So well, I guess I need more time. It’s late, take care everyone in Malaysia! Miss you all!
